Water.

6/9/10

Write while soaking in hot water. ‘Tis relaxing. I like watching the ripples – how they go every which way, growing larger, smaller, larger again. Looking at reflections from different angles is neat. If you arch your foot, the wrinkles on the bottom are magnified to resemble the trunk of an old withered tree. Watching closely, I see tiny particles floating around me. I find a red speck on my chest and speak to it. “What are you doing? You don’t belong there.” And the way the water grips your skin at the surface, even as you move around… It needs you as much as you need it.
